Post Aussie Let down Syndrome

  I'm going through a heavy duty withdrawal since the wonderful cast and crew of Channel 9 Aussie TV's "Today" Show left on Thursday.  I can't say enough about them and the immediate connection that they all made with myself and everyone here at the studio.  I can't wait to get some time off to take the whole family over to the land of wonder down under and say "G'day!" They will be missed.  Never have I had so much fun since the days I worked on "Breakfast Time" on the F/X network with Tom Bergeron and Laurie Hibbard.  This is TV the way it ought to be.

Survivalist mindset

It seems that all you need is a global catastrophe to get people off the fence. Nitropak.com which is a website that deals with all things that deal with surviving the end of civilization as we know it. I checked them out the other day and there is a 160 backorder on MRE style prepared foods. I know that I'm looking for some higher ground further inland away from the big cities.

I'm just sayin'

Is it just me or what? I'm the greatest starter of all time but finishing, not so good. I need to find someone who's great at pushing through to the end; a tee crosser and eye dotter. Like Abbot and Costello, Cagney had Lacey, Robert Culp had Bill Cosby in I Spy. That's what I'm talking about! I'm wondering if God makes us that way so we'll work together although I'm sure that there are a ton of people who are quite adroit at both and it works just fine for them. It's getting warmer and I'm finally going to get my Harley on the road! I will for the first time also have an actual motorcycle license. I'm going to a school called of all things, TRAMA! Yikes! It's great; two days 7a-5p and bingo I get a voucher to get my license without a driving test; it also lowers my insurance premium. Earthquake followed by a Tsunami in Japan triggering a possible nuclear meltdown global disaster, war in Liberia, possible bombing of Libya, Tunisian revolt, Mexican cartel drug lords executing hits on US drug enforcement officials on US soil, New Zealand earthquake, Riots in Bahrain, but the marriage must go on! Prince William and Kate will have none of this global turmoil and should they. Are you worried, I'm not. I have hope and a future in Christ Jesus and sleep just fine. All of this stuff is in the book. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't be well prepared for disasters. We should all have a windup radio/flashlight food and water for the whole family for at least 3 days, dust respirators for all, a first aid kit extra clothing, a "go" bag for each member of the family and plastic and gaffers tape seal up windows and doors in case of nuclear fallout. Wow, when I was a kid we had drills at school for potential Russian nuclear bombing raids. People had bomb shelters in they're backyards and were scared to death of the prospect of the third world war! Now it's Armageddon that has everyone in a tizzy! I think from a Christian point of view the loss of life at anytime is a definite tragedy and these recent deaths are no exception. I hope that it does soften hearts and minds towards listening to God's call a little more. I'm sure that it will help people stop and take a look at their lives and ponder what lies beyond. To God be the glory. bye bye!

Time Warp

Is is just me or has time sped up? It seems now that a week is a day and a month is a week. I came into work the other day and conferred this with the security guard from Guyana who is around my age. I told him that it seemed to me the I went to bed last night and it was July. I awoke and now it's almost Spring. Pitchers and catchers are in Florida my birthday has passed along with everyone else who was born in January and now we're days away from Valentine's Day!!!!!! What's Up??? My oldest daughter is 12 and overnight she has breasts!!! I used to be a big fan of breasts! No More!! I am their sworn enemy! They are not welcome in my house and especially upon any of my daughters!!!!!!! The fact that I started having children very late just like dear ole' dad at the age of 41 puts me at an even 60 years old by the time my youngest is 15, the middle one will be 18 and the oldest 19!!!! When the all sync up their respective ovulation times with lovely mom I will be staying at my office at work for the week!!! I'll be taking the dog with me for I know it won't be safe for any creature with a penis, neutered or otherwise!!! OK Ive ranted enough for one day! Again, I'm sorry for taking so long to post anything. I thought I'd posted a picture yesterday of something at work but alas it was just another brain fart! Nighty night little Raaaaaaabit!
